It's a group getting together to share ideas and information, taking optional trips to see gardens and nurseres, and making friends with people who share the same interests. Established in 1932, the Port Washington Club meets monthly and hosts two annual events-our Plant Sale in May and a local Garden Walk in July. Members also participate in a variety of community projects, such as planting and maintaining public gardens in our community and buying gardening books each year for the Niederkorn Library. We are a newer group who has been meeting with our kids for playgroups, park play dates, picnics, trips to the zoo, Olbrich Gardens, The Children's Museum, Farmers Market etc. There are typically a few options for meetups each week. Most of the kids in this group are infants through age four (though older siblings are certainly welcome). Our meetups are mainly on weekdays with most in the mornings and some in the afternoons.
