This is a free class but you have to register early because space is limited.

Description: Florida’s mild climate presents the home gardener with an opportunity to grow a wide assortment of vegetables, including not only the well-known types, but many other minor varieties such as Boniato, Bok Choy, Chayote, Jicama, Malanga, Napa Cabbage, Tomatillo, and many others.

  “ I had no clue who was part of this meetup group and since it was at the agriculture center, other people were there too, that wasn't a problem but I wish that the leader of this group should of let us know. I took the Master Gardener program classes over ten years ago, the program is good and very informational. It's good to refresh my memory. ”

I would have preferred that the extension agent give more details of the growing habits of these particular vegetables and more preparation options and other tips, and less time on what seemed to be just stock gardening advice. ”
