"Newly relocated from South Florida, where most of my precious tropical Flora remained...dared to bring Arabian Jasmine, Florida Wild Coffee and Piper Nigrum (black peppercorn vine) which all survived. Will eventually build a coldhouse and propagate."

  • "Hi again. I am getting around this site a bit now. Not sure still if I am doing things right. I am afraid I sent my phone number out to all... oops. lol I have a rather large yard with a small green house that is in need of lots of work. I have some items I would be willing for you to help yourself to. Thinning some lemon balm, digging up and moving some smallish cedar trees, some other herbs could use thinning too. I'd be happy for you to walk around and see if anything interests you. "

  • "Hi Sharon. I'm from San Francisco and did some schooling and work up in Portland. I had some moon flower seeds to share but didn't want to be tempted to buy plants. I have a huge yard that is in need of creative planting. I usually get a crop of dawn redwood saplings by the end of summer. "

  • "Hey Michelle, Thanks for the welcome!! Unfortunately I am not gonna be able to make it to the meeting this time. I'm a realtor and some folks flew into town and ask if I can show them houses tomorrow before they leave going home? And I was looking so forward to meeting you guys, but that is the way my job goes. I have to run when the business or others are available. I look forward to next time. Thanks again,Darryl"

  • "Hi there. I have actually never joined in with a garden group so I have no real expectaion. I hope to get some ideas to help me with my "garden" spot that I have acquired. What is it you are hoping for with this group? Do you have a meeting place in mind? What is your idea for a first meeting? Let me know. Thanks. Sharon"

  • "Hey welcome to the group =) Looks like it'll be just us for the meeting, what are you interested in doing?"

"Hello. I have returned to North Alabama from the Pacific Northwest. I plan to get busy with plantings, composting, etc. I have more needs than resources to accomplish them so having others to work with could only be a good thing. "

"This is a gardening Meetup group. What I want this group to become is a large group of people who love to garden and do seed/cutting/whole plant trading with each other, and maybe even have a group garden..."
